Port Angeles resident receives $6,000 scholarship for medical school

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles resident Hannah Little has received a $6,000 scholarship from the Clallam County Physicians Community Benefit Fund toward expenses at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima.

Little, a 2015 graduate of Port Angeles High School, recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Montana in Missoula, Mont., with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry.

Little started in the doctor of osteopathy program at Pacific Northwest on Aug. 9.

According to a press release, Little ultimately plans to return to Port Angeles to practice family medicine.
