PORT ANGELES — The School Board has picked a Port Angeles contractor to complete interior construction of the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center.
Vision Builders, 3705 S. Critchfield Road, submitted the lowest bid of $1.39 million to complete skills center portions of the building at Eighth and B streets.
The only other bidder, Hoch Construction of Port Angeles, bid $1.46 million.
By state law the School Board must approve the lowest bid.
“We are very pleased to have received bids from local contractors,” said Roger Easling, Port Angeles School District project manager.
The skills center is a collaboration among the Port Angeles, Sequim, Crescent, Quillayute Valley and Cape Flattery school districts, Peninsula College and the Clallam County Economic Development Council.
