Pickup burns at Henry Boyd and Mount Pleasant roads

The Chevy Silverado HD 3500 pickup was destroyed, firefighters said, a loss estimated at $60,000.

PORT ANGELES — A pickup truck burned at the intersection of Henry Boyd and Mount Pleasant roads Monday.

Firefighters with Clallam County Fire District No. 2 extinguished the blaze after they were called to the fire at 4:09 p.m.

Bystanders with fire extinguishers had slowed the engine fire’s growth long enough to keep it contained, firefighters said.

No one was injured.

The Chevy Silverado HD 3500 pickup, which was pulling a 35-foot fifth-wheel trailer, was destroyed, firefighters said, adding that the loss was estimated at $60,000.
