PORT ANGELES — Law enforcement officers fold a flag at the Eighth Annual Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony at the Liberty Bell in Port Angeles on Friday.
Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict hosted the ceremony for all North Olympic Peninsula law enforcement officers and volunteers to honor those serving and men and women killed in the line of duty.
Statewide this year, Pierce County Deputy Sheriff Daniel McCartney was killed Jan. 8 while responding to a burglary in progress and six police dogs have been killed in the line of duty.
