Nonprofits on the North Olympic Peninsula are providing free community meals this week during the holiday break.
The Salvation Army, at 206 S. Peabody St. in Port Angeles, will distribute meals to carry out from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Christmas meals will be distributed from the Tri-Area Community Center at 10 West Valley Road in Chimacum from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.
Each meal will consist of ham, potatoes, green beans and a roll.
Reservations are required by calling 360-379-4228. Delivery is available for housebound residents.
Hardy’s Market at 10200 Old Olympic Highway in Sequim will serve a carry-out meal from 11 a.m. until they run out on Thursday.
Patrons are asked to remain in their cars and staff will come out to them.
