Pedestrian hospitalized after she was hit in construction zone

BRINNON — A pedestrian was injured and transported to a hospital after she was struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 101.

Christina A. Kor, 41, of Vancouver, Wash., was taken to Mason General Hospital on Wednesday after a car backed up and hit her in a construction zone, the State Patrol reported.

Tina M. Gonzalez, 53, of Kelso was stopped in the southbound lane of Highway 101 in the construction zone in her 2019 Ford F-350 pickup about 2 p.m. when she backed up and hit Kor at milepost 308, the State Patrol said.

Gonzalez was wearing a seat beat and not injured, the State Patrol said.

Kor’s condition was not available on Thursday.

The cause of the collision was under investigation, the State Patrol said.
