The road to Hurricane Ridge will be closed from 4 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. today and tomorrow for roadway maintenance.
Crews will remove debris from ditches along 10 miles of Hurricane Ridge Road, from the Heart of the Hills ranger station to the Ridge, Olympic National Park Assistant Supervisor Roger Rudolph said. Work started Tuesday.
Early morning work hours were chosen to minimize disruptions for park visitors, Rudolph said.
The annual maintenance work is necessary to keep water from damaging the road, he said.
Crews are expected to remove between 300 yards and 500 yards of debris, he said.
