PORT HADLOCK — Naval Magazine Indian Island will conduct a security training exercise from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, the Navy announced Tuesday.
It will be in the water outside of the ammunition pier’s port security barrier and outside of the installation’s main gate.
Installation personnel and residents living nearby could notice an increased presence of harbor security boats in the water, hear loud sirens and see bright blue flashing lights.
Additional security personnel will be present around the main gate, and they will be using whistles and loud sirens.
The Navy said this is a routine exercise.
