Incumbent state Rep. Jim Buck, R-Joyce, and his Democratic opponent, Kevin Van De Wege of Sequim; Joe Martin and Soeren Poulsen, running for Clallam County sheriff; proponents and opponents of Initiative 892 (authorizing non-tribal gambling establishments to operate gambling machines, with tax proceeds earmarked for lowering the state property tax).

Jefferson County commissioner candidates — incumbent Republican Dan Titterness and his challenger, Democrat Phil Johnson; incumbent Republican Glen Huntingford and his Democratic opponent, David Sullivan — then Buck and Van De Wege.

Friday
* 2 p.m.: Dominion Terrace Clubhouse, 1301 S. Third Ave., Sequim.
Forum will feature candidates or their representatives for several of the federal, state and Clallam County offices.

* 7 p.m.: “Candidate’s Night,” 7 p.m., Nordland Garden Club, 320 Garden Club Road, Marrowstone Island.
The four Jefferson County commissioner candidates will attend this forum, moderated by John Brewer, editor and publisher of the Peninsula Daily News.
Other activities
* Jefferson County Democrats will host “Rally for the Future” at Jefferson County Memorial Field in downtown Port Townsend from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
* Castaway’s Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, Port Angeles, hosts a fund-raising “meet the candidate” event for Poulsen from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
