A hearing today in Jefferson County Superior Court will establish a trial date for a former Quilcene man accused of murder.
Robert Froehlich, 28, is charged with second-degree murder in the 1992 stabbing death of 15-year-old Allison Tornensis of Quilcene.
The teen-ager was last seen July 26, 1992, in Quilcene and reported missing July 27 of that year. Her body was found Aug. 1, 1992, in the Little Quilcene River.
The case went unsolved for eight years until last July, when Froehlich turned himself into the Curry County, Ore., sheriff’s office, stating he had information about Tornensis’ death.
Froehlich was committed to the state Department of Social and Health Services for observation in May.
