PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County International Airport runway is closing intermittently for pavement work over the next two weeks starting today.
The planned work will include grinding and stripe painting, a press release from the Port of Port Townsend said.
The specific schedule is as follows:
• Closed from 7 a.m. Wednesday to 7 p.m. Friday.
• Open from 7 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28.
• Closed from 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.
The pavement work includes diamond grinding out of specific payment areas by American Construction, a seal coat applied by CR Construction and a second coat of pavement markings being applied by Stripe Rite, according to the press release.
