PORT TOWNSEND — The Board of Jefferson County Commissioners is accepting applications to fill a position on the board of health until 4:30 p.m. May 14.
Under state law, community stakeholders include people representing community-based organizations or nonprofits that work with populations experiencing health inequities in the county; active, reserve or retired armed service members; the business community; or the environmental public health-regulated community.
Interested applicants should submit a written statement of interest to the Jefferson County Commissioners Office, P.O. Box 1220, Port Townsend, WA 98368 or go to www.co.jefferson.wa.us/1595/Join-Our-Local-Board-of-Health.
Printed applications are available at Jefferson County Public Health Office, 615 Sheridan St., Port Townsend, and at the commissioners’ office in the basement of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
The board of health meets at the county courthouse at 2:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
