Impeachment supporters rally in Sequim

SEQUIM — Scott Oberstaller and Nancy Ackeman join about 200 protesters at the corner of Washington Street and Sequim Avenue on Tuesday.

Organized by Indivisible Sequim, members of MoveOn.org and Clallam County Concerned Citizens, the protest saw residents gather to rally support for the impeachment of president Donald Trump on the eve of an expected House of Representatives vote, with the theme, “No one is above the law.”

Joan Cotta of Indivisible Sequim said, “This is about working together as a community. We’re here to encourage Congress to vote on moving [impeachment] forward.”

About 15 to 20 Trump supporters also came out to the organized event.
