FORKS — Retired Rayonier Inc. employees will be recognized during a luncheon and participate in a round table discussion today to honor the company’s 75th anniversary.
Forks Chamber of Commerce officials said the noon luncheon will also celebrate the importance of the forest products company to Forks — both economically and socially.
Rayonier’s anniversary was selected as the theme for the annual Forks Hickory Shirt/Heritage Days 2002 celebration, a nine day event which ends Saturday.
“We are very honored the community chose Rayonier’s anniversary as their theme,” said Michelle Verlander, Rayonier corporate relations coordinator.
“The Forks community has always been an excellent partner to work with.”
The luncheon will be held at the Smoke House Restaurant, 193161 E. Highway 101.
The no-host lunch costs $7.50 and coffee-only costs $1.
The community will continue their salute to Rayonier with the Old Timers Round Table in the Bank of America lobby, 481 S. Forks Ave., beginning at 6:30 p.m.
