FASHION’S NIGHT OUT, an international event paying tribute to fashion, fun and high-style, will be celebrated all over the globe Thursday — including in Port Angeles for the first time.
Sponsored by Sterling Bank and several downtown Port Angeles businesses, the fashion party begins at the Elks Naval Lodge, 131 E. First St., at 5 p.m. Thursday.
There will be music, a no-host bar, a fashion show at 5:30 p.m. spotlighting the latest men’s, women’s and children’s styles for fall and a drawing for a complete dress package valued at more than $600.
Admission is free. Dress is come as you are. The event is expected to last until about 6:30 p.m.
A ticket for the drawing is $1. The money will go to Healthy Families of Clallam County.
Contributing to the dress package are Sassy Kat Salon & Boutique, Cottage Queen, Jewells Boutique, Black Diamond Bridal, Maurices, Iron Apparel, Necessities & Temptations and Skin Care Suites Spa, all downtown businesses.
In addition, many Port Angeles restaurants and stores will be open late Thursday with individual drawings, fashion-themed refreshments and entertainment.
Begun in 2009 by Vogue magazine and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, last year’s Fashion’s Night Out featured events in 18 countries and more than 4,500 U.S. venues.
