Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula.

An open house for Rayonier cleanup, channel migration reports and fire restrictions top the agendas of government meetings on the Peninsula this week.

Rayonier Mill Cleanup

The state Department of Ecology will host an open house regarding the clean up of the Rayonier Mill from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The open house will be in the Donna M. Morris auditorium at Field Arts and Events Hall, 201 W. Front St., Port Angeles.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will will continue a public hearing regarding the the channel migration zone technical report from Natural Systems Design during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Agreements with the state Department of Ecology for $174,146 in cost-shares for Local Solid Waste and Financial Assistance grants to pay for enforcement, permitting, inspecting, reviewing data, outreach, education and investigations.

• An amended agreement with Tyler Technologies for data base program for processing payments.

• A renewed agreement with HS GovTech for a food service permitting database.

• A resolution authorizing the allocation of $50,000 in opioid settlement funds to support the Clallam County Harm Reduction Health Center.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, regarding a proposed ordinance to repeal and replace Chapter 27.08 of the Clallam County Code titled Open Space.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. July 22 regarding proposals to authorize Opportunity Fund grants totaling $384,184 to provide matching funds for city of Forks, $60,000; the Port of Port Angeles, $116,000; Composite Recycling Technology Center, $100,000; and Clallam EDC, $108,184.

• An agreement with Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County for $800,000 in Opportunity Funds to develop the Lyons Landing affordable housing site in the Carlsborg area.
