Government meetings across North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will consider a resolution to adopt several budget appropriations totalling $617,554 during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session at 9 a.m. Monday will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• An amended agreement with Norpoint Protective Services for courthouse security staffing.

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider ending the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The hybrid meeting is at the commissioners chambers in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend.

The commissioners will open bids for pavement marking and for aggregate supply for bituminous surface treatment.

Items on the consent agenda include creation of the East Jefferson culvert lining project; an agreement with Bruch and Bruch construction for $1,092,394 for the Snow Creek Road culvert replacement project; a temporary easement for the Department of Transportation for the construction of a roundabout on state Highway 104; and an amended agreement with the Dove House for an additional $25,000 to operate the Recovery Cafe.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port of Port Angeles

Port of Port Angeles commissioners are scheduled to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss resolutions regarding dams on the lower Snake River when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

An excutive session is planned to evaulate the qualifications of applicants for public employment. Commissioners are expected to make an annoucement after the session.

Clallam County Fire Protection District 3 commissioners will meet with respresentatives of the Prothman Company and with Emergency Services Consulting International during a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners will consider hiring one of these companies to recruit and hire a new fire chief.
