Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

Discussions centered on U.S. Highway 101 projects, legislative agendas and school board meetings will take place next week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss construction projects on U.S. Highway 101 with the state Department of Transportation during their weekly work session on Monday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Memorandum of understanding with Clallam County Public Works regarding the Clallam Bay/Sekiu Sewer System Clallam Bay and Middle Point Pump Station replacement project.

• An agreement with the state Council of County and City Employees, Local 1619-CS, for collective bargaining.

• An agreement with the state Department of Ecology for a drought-related research grant.

• A purchase order with CDWG for CrowdStrike Network Security.

• A purchase order with Info-tech Research Group for IT research and guidance support.

• A public hearing regarding debatable budget emergencies.

• Resolutions to adopt various budget revisions and supplemental appropriations.

Peninsula College board of trustees will conduct a public hearing regarding the repeal of WAC 132A-126 and the adoption of WAC 132A-127: Code of Students Rights and Responsibilities during a special meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The change is required to comply with the U.S. Department of Education’s Final Rule under Title IX requiring institutions of higher education to adopt student disciplinary procedures addressing sex discrimination, including sex-based harassment.
