The three Clallam County commissioners will consider approving an agreement with the state Department of Transportation for the Old Olympic Highway-McDonald Creek bridge replacement project Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The local agency agreement with Transportation would obligate $807,800 in federal construction funding to the 2017 county road project.
Other agenda items for the business meeting include:
• An agreement with the city of Port Angeles for stream water quality monitoring to be performed by Steamkeepers on behalf of the city.
• An easement purchase for the Carlsborg sewer project.
• A land purchase for the Olympic Discovery Trail project.
• Resolutions reappointing members to the Clallam Bay/Sekiu Community Action Team, Clallam County Board of Health, Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee and Chemical Dependency/Mental Health Program Fund Advisory Board.
• Certification of the 2017 road levy and estimated revenue.
Commissioners will hold their weekly work session at 9 a.m. Monday.
Discussion items include an agreement with the Clallam Conservation District to provide renewable resource conservation planning and implementation.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will hear a presentation on the proposed Sequim School District levies when they meet Monday.
A morning work session will begin at 9 a.m. An afternoon business meeting will start at 1 p.m. Both will be in the port building at 338 W. First St.
The levy presentation will be at 1:05 p.m.
During the morning workshop, commissioners will discuss halibut season advocacy, a quarterly joint meeting with the Clallam County commissioners, the 2017 Olympic Logging Conference and delegation of authority.
Also during the morning session, members of Olympic Climate Action plan to address commissioners during the public comment period.
In the afternoon sessions, commissioners will discuss changing the day of their regular meetings.
They will consider action on a flex-use lease of land on Fairchild Airport Road with Merrill & Ring and Timber Advisory Committee procedures.
It will consider directing the staff on a comment on sustainable harvest level.
PA City Council
The Port Angeles City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The special meeting will be held in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St., for the purpose of a work session on the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
The special meeting is open to the public.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will hear fourth-quarter reports from Peninsula Behavioral Health, Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
The council also will hear a report on the Police Benevolence Fund and ratify committee appointments.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will set a public hearing date for a Community Development Block Grant application when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at 500 E. Division St.
It also will consider an appointment to the county Board of Health.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board will elect officers and consider system participation in the North Olympic Legislative Alliance on Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the Clallam Transit System administration building at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include authorization for travel to a legislative conference, memorandums of commendation and resolutions to recognize retiring transit operator Don Smith and transit operator Gordon Bowechop for earning an employee of the quarter award.
Clallam PUD
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider approving prequalifications of contractors to perform work for the district Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Lake Crescent boardroom at the Carlsborg main office, located at 104 Hooker Road.
Other agenda items include contract completion with Altec Industries Inc. for a digger derrick truck.
Crescent schools
The Crescent School Board will hear a report on enrollment when it meets Thursday.
The board will meet at 7 p.m. in the library at the school at 50350 state Highway 112.
Enrollment has dropped 2.7 percent from December to January because of nine students leaving the district, but the district remains above budget projections.
The board also will hear an update on capital levy projects.
Quillayute Valley schools
The Quillayute Valley School Board will evaluate the superintendent during a closed session when it meets Tuesday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the library at Forks High School.
The board also will hear reports on enrollment and budget.
