PORT HADLOCK — Skip Smith’s family members say they feel the warmth of the community surrounding them as they try to deal with the shock of his slaying Tuesday.
Smith died at his Rhody Drive towing and recovery company, Smith’s Services, after being shot numerous times.
A former son-in-law, Ryan Neil Sorensen, 30, of Spanish Fork, Utah, has been charged with first-degree murder.
“We feel the community rallying around us,” said Smith’s niece, Tiffany Davidson of Port Hadlock.
Davidson said friends and acquaintances have flooded Smith’s Services’ telephone with calls Wednesday.
“I’ve been talking to people all day,” Davidson said.
