Clallam Parks and Recreation District No. 1 accepting applications for vacancy

SEQUIM — Clallam County Parks and Recreation District No. 1 is accepting applications for a seat on its board of commissioners.

The seat, which was recently vacated by Chuck Nagel, has a two-year term which will expire in December 2023.

Applicants should submit a written statement of interest, along with their background and relevant experience, no later than Tuesday.

The board oversees the Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center, which is owned by the junior taxing district but operated and maintained by the Olympic Peninsula YMCA.

The board meets regularly each quarter with occasional special meetings.

Applicants must reside within the Clallam County portion of the Sequim School District and be registered to vote.
