BRINNON — A Brinnon woman troopers suspect of driving under the influence was taken to Jefferson Healthcare on Wednesday night after a single-vehicle wreck in Brinnon.
Norma M. Sherry, 68, was driving a Ford Explorer northbound on Schoolhouse Road where it intersects with Dosewallips, according to the State Patrol.
She failed to stop and drove through the intersection into the northbound ditch.
She is facing charges for driving under the influence, according to the State Patorl.
Multiple Jefferson Healthcare staff members said it was a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to disclose Sherry’s condition, despite the law allowing the release of one-word general patient conditions, according to the American Hospital Association.
