For those who have been putting off paying West End traffic tickets because of the staggering interest that has accumulated, their time has come.
Through the end of June, Clallam County District Court 2 in Forks is offering amnesty on fines that have racked up interest while sitting in collections, said Sabrina Bees, court administrator.
The amnesty program is being run by the court’s collection agency, AllianceOne. Those who take advantage of the offer will have to pay the fine plus a 40 percent collections fee, but no interest, Bees said.
