Actress Lynda Day George to help Port Angeles watch the Oscars

PORT ANGELES — An Olympic Medical Center Foundation fundraiser coinciding with the March 7 Academy Awards ceremonies in Los Angeles will be held in Port Angeles.

First Federal is sponsoring the foundation’s “Hollywood Nights,” which will include a personal appearance by 1970s TV actress Lynda Day George.

The event will start at 4 p.m. at the Vern Burton Community Center, Fourth and Peabody streets in Port Angeles, and will feature the live telecast of the Oscars on 12-foot screens about two hours later.

Tickets are available at Necessities & Temptations gift shop, 217 N. Laurel St., Port Angeles, for $60 each.
