Yoga, holistic instructor to lead ayurveda class in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — Yoga and holistic health instructor Connie Segal will lead a class on ayurveda self-care and yoga Saturday at Room to Move, the yoga studio upstairs at 1008 Lawrence St.

The workshop, to run from 9 a.m. till noon, will cover how to determine your dosha, or body type, and use ayurvedic health practices such as body brushing, tongue cleaning and nasal washing, for optimum health.

“In Connie’s workshop, you’ll develop better body awareness and a greater understanding of how to bring yoga into the rest of your life,” noted Jen Bates, publicist for Room to Move.

The cost for Saturday’s class is $40, and more details are available at 360-821-1718 and www.roomtomoveyoga.com.
