PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Garden Club recently announced that Judy Hubbard won its summer Green Thumb award.
Hubbard received the award for excellence in landscaping at her 806 E. Sixth St. residence.
Hubbard, who has lived in the house for 53 years, grows most of her flowers from seed each year.
The garden club selects a residential garden for its green thumb award in the spring, the summer and the fall.
In order to be considered, the garden must be planted and maintained by the homeowner without professional landscaping.
