Libraries to host book discussions this month

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will host four Book Discussion Group meetings in November. The Wednesday Evening group meets in person in Port Angeles while other groups meet on Zoom.

Register at nols.org/book-discussion-groups, or call or visit a library branch for assistance. Reach Sequim Library staff at 360-683-1161.

All are welcome; join each month or drop in. Paperback copies of the titles will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussions at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., or Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., on a first-come, first-served basis.

Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook also may be available to request through the NOLS catalog; view the catalog online at nols.org.

The November 2022 Book Discussion schedule includes:

• 2nd Tuesday Book Discussion Group — “The Beekeeper of Aleppo” by Christy Lefteri, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library.

• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group — “The Plague of Doves” by Louise Erdrich, 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Sequim Library.

• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group — “Come Home, Indio: A Memoir” by Jim Terry, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Sequim Library.

• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group — “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry” by Fredrik Backman, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Carver Room of Port Angeles Main Library; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library.
