Intentional aging group talks nutrition, depression

PORT ANGELES — North Olympic Library System’s Intentional Aging discussion group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The online meeting will stream on Zoom.

Daniel Beery will present “Nutrition and Late-Life Depression.”

Beery, a graduate student in nutritional sciences at the University of Washington, will discuss how diet and lifestyle can affect mental health as people age, how late-life depression differs from depression in other life stages and how nutrition affects the risk for developing late-life depression.
