Yes, it’s that time.
Time for us to define what kind of country we want to be.
Time to choose democracy over autocracy, time to choose the constitution over the undemocratic attacks on it, time to choose equal rights for everyone regardless of their race, religion or sexual preference over attacks from the extreme right attempting to eliminate some of these rights, time to choose and affirm a woman’s right to decide what is best for her health over extreme restrictions being implemented in some states designed to criminalize a woman’s right to choose, time to choose the peaceful transfer of power over attempts by the extreme right to overthrow the will of the voters, time to elect politicians who will stand up for the average American.
As President Biden said in a recent speech:
“And here, in my view, is what is true. MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution.
“They do not believe in the rule of law.
“They do not recognize the will of the people.
“They refuse to accept the results of a free election.
“And they’re working right now, as I speak, in state after state, to give power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election deniers to undermine democracy itself.”
We must send a message to the MAGA Republicans that the majority of Americans denounce their attacks on democracy as un-American and people with these views have no place in our freedom-loving society.
Vote for Democrats in November.
