LETTER:Take care of us all

A long time ago, I did my mandatory hitch in the Army.

One thing I remember from basic training is a little bit about ABC warfare (atomic, biological and chemical.)

Biological is what we have going on now.

Regardless of whether you believe it was intentionally exported from China, it has gone around the world, and the original has been replaced by more dangerous mutations.

I would bet that there will be more.

Defending against this is not a silly game.

For a lot of older people and people with underlying health issues, it can be a matter of life and death.

Many younger people have no concern about catching it and passing it.

During basic training we were inoculated for about 20 different maladies to protect us from afflictions where we were and to give some protection when we were sent overseas.

Before we went overseas or back home we got more inoculations specifically for places where we were going.

We should take care of ourselves and the people we love, here and now.
