LETTER:Sequim incumbents

Re-elect all three of the incumbents who are running for the Sequim School Board.

Maren Halvorson, Larry Jeffryes and Michael Rocha have made the hard choice to reconfigure the elementary schools to address lagging test scores and differences in our two elementary schools.

The new configuration will provide efficiencies in resources, teacher collaboration and budgeting.

In addition, Helen Haller’s proximity to the middle school could allow high achieving students to take classes in the middle school.

Yes, stability is a good thing, but so is resiliency in the face of changing times.

Why keep a system that isn’t working?

Halverson, Jeffryes and Rocha will continue to work for the best education and learning environment for our wonderful Sequim students.

They will also work to bring our community together and upgrade our school facilities.
