LETTER:Not neighborly

After a tour through a hospital’s waiting room and observing the patrons, my conclusion is that smart phones are really dumb phones.

In these settings there is no dialog.

For some, that may be just fine, but for others it separates our neighbors by discouraging friendly conversation.

The collapse of our society is apparent these days as surely we must notice by the global chaos on the streets, destruction of properties, carjackings, etc.

You can help.

Put your phone away.

As Mr. Rogers would say, “Won’t you be my neighbor.”
