On the morning of Dec. 5 at the pool in Shore Aquatic Center, I observed a man who raising his voice in protest to a United States Coast Guardsman.
He was angry that they were using the pool and that he wouldn’t be able to swim that day.
Twice a year the USCG rents the pool to train the helicopter crews in their life saving skills.
These servicemen were n full gear.
Pretty impressive to watch.
Without their devotion and training in the job, many people lost in the mountains, at sea and on land would be without help.
To all crews who put their lives on the line and train hard.
