After listening to the League of Women Voters candidates forum for the Sequim School Board, it was clear to me that incumbents Larry Jeffryes, Maren Halvorsen and Michael Rocha, have received superior training for careers in education and superior experience in school management.
But taking on the complex challenges of a reconfiguration also took courage and foresight.
The time for distress about our students’ learning lapses due to the pandemic is over; now it is time to take concrete steps to accelerate the learning curve of our children through the board’s planned reconfiguration.
