LETTER: We are Americans

I was very disappointed to read about the Democratic governors uniting to oppose the Trump administration (PDN, Nov. 14.)

Are these the same ones who condemned Trump for not accepting the results of the 2020 election? Their decision does nothing but deepen the political division in this country.

Folks, the election is over! It’s time to unite behind our elected leaders and pray that they will have the wisdom to govern us in a manner befitting our constitutional republic.

They need our support, whether we agree with them or not.

But most of all, they need our prayers, as regardless of their party or office, their responsibilities are considerable.

We are all Americans.

Let’s commit to acting like it and make a commitment to respecting each other, regardless of our political beliefs.
