The last few days I have had the opportunity to observe things that lead me to believe that the current mayor is unfit for this very public position.
First, the mayor touts wearing a punisher pin as his support for law enforcement.
By definition, he does not seem to understand the role of law enforcement.
Our police enforce the laws while the courts decide punishment.
To say or infer otherwise is disingenuous at best.
In other words, he needs to quit wearing that pin.
My second point concerns a recently seen photo of the mayor that I find extremely disgusting.
Emblazoned on the back of his shirt were statements of things Americans do.
Unknown to him, these things are done by many Americans and not just those who believe as he does.
The very last statement indicated that if you did not agree with all the above statements you can, “Get the F— out.”
The mayor appears to not understand that the views of Americans are many and varied and are allowed by the Constitution.
It’s this inability that furthers my belief that he is unfit for office.
Finally, wearing this shirt in public disgraces the office of mayor and our community.
He needs to go.
