LETTER: Trump’s magnificent inauguration a harbinger of great things to come

In spite of threats made by the post-election malcontents including the entitlement crowd, “snowflakes” and professional agitators determined to disrupt the presidential inauguration ceremony and parade, it was refreshing to learn they only succeeded in making fools of themselves by rioting and destroying property.

Their lawless behavior and actions had no influence on any of the inaugural events.

What a magnificent inauguration it was.

In his inauguration speech, President Trump spoke from his heart and directed his comments to all of America’s people.

He appeared very presidential, his remarks were extremely positive and inspiring, and hearing him speak made me proud to be an American.

Not so, however, in the opinions of the groups I mentioned and our liberal media.

They described Trump’s speech by using such expressive words as dark, divisive, violent, Hitlerian, militant, anti-Semitic and racial.

Interesting, but not surprising, considering liberals are adversaries of America’s traditional values.

Their mission appears to be to defend liberal ideas and principles by any means.

Indeed, Trump has a difficult task ahead of him to unite our divided country.

Given a chance and with continued successes, I have no doubt that Trump will win the trust and support of many patriotic Americans who have been misled about him.

For those who call themselves American and yet hate our country, there is no hope.

They are among our enemies and would be better off to shut up and get out of the way or find a new country in which to live.
