Your vote for R-90 this November is a voice for our youth to simply learn age-appropriate, medically-accurate sex education in schools.
There has been a lot of misguided information out there that states that youth as young as third grade will be taught how “to do it” and other falsehoods.
Young elementary age children will receive only social-emotional education which includes how to use one’s words, and how to give and receive consent when playing with a friend.
It is important to remember that parents or caregivers can opt out of having their children involved. But let us not take this away from those kids that may not have a trusted adult at home to learn from.
Please consider this when casting your vote.
