As I have listened to the political talk surrounding the upcoming election, these are some of the reasons I think some may have for voting Democratic, not just for Joe Biden but for every Democrat on the ballot.
All people in the U.S. should have access to government-provided health care.
It’s OK for taxes to be increased.
The U.S. can and must deal with climate change, no matter what other countries do.
End the use of fossil fuels.
As we move ahead, Democrats will do a better job handling the pandemic.
We need stricter gun control and perhaps at least some gun confiscation.
A woman should be able to have an abortion for any reason at any time during pregnancy.
The U.S. should have open borders; anyone can come into the U.S. at any time and stay.
The U.S. is systematically racist and Democrats can deal with it more effectively.
Defund the police.
More liberal justices for the Supreme Court.
Reparations for our black citizens.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Abolish ICE.
If you agree with the above, and are OK with Kamala Harris becoming President, then you will vote for Biden and all the Democrats on the ballot so appropriate policies can be implemented.
If you generally do not agree with these things, then I guess it’s vote for Trump, policies are more important than his personality, and other Republicans.
