LETTER: Pride deflated

My son is a United States Marine and I had two brothers who fought and died in the Vietnam war.

So whenever I saw an American flag displayed from cars and trucks, I just felt proud.

Now when I see these same flags, my first thought is, “These same people would storm the Capitol building and, for political reasons, also not take a life-saving vaccine.”

Maybe I’m the only one to think this way.

I really hope so.
