So many problems — here is another one.
Our postal system is failing in multiple ways.
An obvious one is the condition of the Port Angeles Post Office grounds.
The weeds have taken over the border of once pristine property.
Our mail was delivered at 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
Monday it was delivered at 6:45 p.m.
There are Sunday deliveries made in our postal trucks for Amazon.
Any business owner will tell you every time you start a vehicle that time is taken off of the vehicle’s life span.
Take a good look at the mail trucks.
They’re used up.
I talked to a mailman about the truck he was driving. It had a big dent and it needed a new muffler. Over all, it was in poor condition.
He said this was one of the better ones and it was manufactured in 1993.
Once a coveted job, now it is advertised with a wind-whipped banner on the front on the building.
