LETTER: NRA members are law-abiding Americans

Response to the letter “NRA changed”: That the writer references The Washington Post, one of the main fake news-biased newspapers, should say something.

Everything has changed since the 1950s.

Back then, there was respect for our Bill of Rights.

No one was trying to repeal the Second Amendment or trample on law-abiding persons’ Second Amendment rights.

Over the years, that has changed as has our culture and values.

Having said that, who else would stand up for the law abiding citizen rights besides the National Rifle Association and other gun rights groups against the radical progressives whose only objective is complete gun confiscation?

The writer also assumes that the NRA is some sort of private club that promotes violence but in truth it is 5 million-plus law-abiding Americans that make up this organization [according to the NRA].

Somehow, these Americans are gun rights radicals.

It would be interesting to know how many NRA members caused gun-violence crimes.

The NRA still does much to promote the safe use and storage of firearms as well as defend citizens against unlawful arrests and unconstitutional laws. If the writer took the time to research all that the NRA does he would learn what they do.

There are many more groups as or more powerful.
