Dear Sequim,
In these troubled times I am concerned that many of our city council members have resigned.
These seem to be those with the most experience.
This leaves a mayor with extremist, QAnon-based views to appoint people to fill seats and direct our little city away from what maybe a truly middle of the road paradise.
In light of recent events in our nation’s Capitol, I would say no extreme views should go on without checks and balances.
I would like all of us to have a voice in the future of Sequim’s city council appointments not just let council members that survived by attrition have a say.
