LETTER: Kudos for culvert damage coverage in Clallam

Thank you, Peninsula Daily News, for your article explaining the culvert replacement work by the county on West Bluff Drive (“Clallam plans to replace culvert where bluff is eroding near Port Angeles,” May 14).

Your emphasis on the poor original design was spot-on.

This is not a matter of natural bluff erosion, but of man-made culvert damage.

While the project would have been less costly if it had been accomplished years back, our county engineers and roads division are working hard at buttressing up West Bluff Drive now.

Thanks to them all.

Lorna VanderZanden,

Port Angeles
