Expect your property taxes to go through the roof if the Port Angeles School District capital levy on the current ballot passes and combines with the McCleary levy from the state.
These new taxes will be added to your existing tax bill.
Owner of a $200,000 house would pay $658 more in new taxes annually between the new levy and the local cost of McCleary.
These taxes hit the working class and poor really hard.
