LETTER: Attorney general shouldn’t sue president

When did the Constitution grant a state attorney general more authority than the president of the United States? (“State AG Discusses Lawsuits,” PDN, Oct. 22)

When the president campaigned for the job, he told the American people what he felt the country needed.

He was elected by the people in accordance with the Constitution.

He did what he promised to do.

I don’t think the attorney general was happy with the results of the election.

Of the 39 counties in the state, 12 voted for Clinton.

Clallam County was not one of the 12 counties.

The Constitution clearly gives the president the authority to act on matters of national security.

The election confirms that is what the people of the United States wanted.
