LETTER: Agrees traffic on N Street goes too fast

I read your recent article on N street in Port Angeles with interest.

My wife and I have lived on N street for over 30 years and can attest to the commercial and private vehicles speeding up and down the street on a daily basis.

Speeds of 30 mph to 40 mph are common and at times more than 50 mph on this 25 mph residential street.

Over the past several years, we very rarely see any traffic law enforcement so maybe the only solution to slow people down is speed bumps.

We have seen several deer in the neighborhood crippled by vehicles and fear it’s only a matter of time before a pedestrian or bicyclist is hit and seriously injured or killed.
