Submissions for fall tales solicited

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center and Olympic Peninsula Authors are looking for submissions for the Celebration of Shadows at the fine arts center.

The deadline for submission is Thursday.

Writers are invited to submit stories, essays, poems featuring the eerie time of year for witches and goblins or bountiful harvests and autumn fantasies.

They will tell tales after dusk in the gallery courtyard at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, during the celebration at 5 p.m. Oct. 21.

Submissions need to be family-friendly, since some listeners will be very young. Each must be able to be read aloud within a five-minute period. Send submissions to olypenauthors@olypen.com. Send Word documents as attachments.

Writers should have no personal identification on the attachment itself but include contact data in the email as a cover note. Put the event identification (SHADOWS) in the subject line of the email along with the submission’s title.

More details about all of the calls for art can be found online at www.pafac.org/calls-for-art.
