Seal lecture planned Wednesday

MARROWSTONE ISLAND — Casey Mclean and Michelle Rivard will present “Northern Elephant Seals in the Pacific Northwest” at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The free lecture, sponsored by the Friends of Fort Flagler, will stream online.

Mclean and Riviard will discuss the natural history and distribution of northern elephant seal and will also discuss common causes of stranding.

Mclean is the executive director for SR3; Rivard is a veterinarian with the organization.
