Port Ludlow Art League features artist, jeweler

Clouds Group Art Show also available online

PORT LUDLOW — The Port Ludlow Art League is featuring Georganne Muse as Artist of the Month and Janice Guber as Jeweler of the Month.

Muse, who is best known for jewelry designs and pastels, has ventured into abstract art.

“When I decided to try abstract painting, I realized just how hard it is,” she said.

“It’s not simply a matter of putting paint on a canvas. When starting with an empty canvas and creating an abstract painting, you’re definitely on your own.”

Her artwork is on display online at port ludlowart.org and at the Port Ludlow Sound Community Bank at the corner of Oak Bay Road and Osprey Ridge Drive in Port Ludlow.

Although Guber spends most of her time creating acrylic and oil paintings, she also makes jewelry.

Her jewelry designs feature sterling silver, beads and freshwater pearls.

To view her jewelry designs, visit portludlowart.org.

Also online on the Port Ludlow Art League website is the Clouds Group Art Show.

Members of the Port Ludlow Art League have used a variety of mediums to translate their interpretations of clouds for the September online art show.
